Ft McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade
Volunteers for the Foundation for Burns and Trauma have been participating in the Fiesta Bowl Parade as balloon handlers for the past 9 years. The volunteer experience is very positive, and the thousands of folks who line the parade route share their excitement for the parade with smiles and waves! You can check out photos of our volunteers at our Photo Gallery.
The 39th annual Fiesta Bowl Parade was held on January 2, 2010; the parade is the largest single-day spectator event in Arizona each year. The Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation remains a time-honored Valley tradition and features a dazzling array of colorful floats, magnificent helium balloons, harmonious marching bands and spirited specialty and equestrian units. Valley residents and visitors alike annually line the two-mile parade route in central Phoenix to witness this spectacular celebration, making the Parade a holiday custom known and loved by locals as well as fans traveling to celebrate the football bowl games held in the Valley of the Sun.
