Support Group Sessions:
Dr Ian Sadler, Clinical Psychologist on the Arizona Burn Center staff, has been hosting Family Education Group sessions two Thursdays each month for burn survivors/families. Beginning July 2011, the first session of the month (2nd Thursday) will focus on adult burn survivor support. The second session of the month (4th Thursday) will focus on child/teen burn survivor support (ages 6-18), facilitated by Lori LeSueur, Child Life Specialist, and Dr Ian Sadler. The child/teen group meetings will center around self-esteem, school issues, self-image and social issues presented by the attendees.
The sessions are held from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the MAC Room on the 7th floor of the Maricopa Medical Center, 2601 E Roosevelt St, Phoenix (after getting off the elevator on the 7th floor, turn left - the MAC room is the first door on the right after the blue double doors). The calendar for the 3rd quarter of 2011 is posted in the left side-bar on this page.
