MISSION STATEMENT
To assist burn victims and their families in becoming burn survivors through rehabilitation, treatment and research; the reduction of death and injury from burns and fire through prevention education; and to serve as an advocacy partner for the prevention of trauma associated with other injuries.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION EVENTS / HEALTH FAIRS

One key component of our mission is to reduce death and injury from burns and fire through prevention education. The Foundation for Burns and Trauma does this through a variety of outreach programs including representation at several Health and Safety Fairs each year. These Health and Safety Fairs help us in reaching diverse communities throughout Arizona. We rely on Volunteers to assist in this outreach activity.

Volunteers are needed to help us continue this important program.  If you would like additional information about this Foundation program and are currently a volunteer with our organization, please contact Gina Enders-Stenner, Burn Prevention Specialist, at 602-230-2041.

If you are a new volunteer, please fill out the burn prevention volunteer application listed below and return it to our office.  Our address and fax number are listed on the bottom of the application form.

Volunteers and staff members set up information booths at 18 different health and safety fairs in 2008, hosted by Valley fire and police departments, elementary schools, and medical facilities.  Safety and prevention information was handed out to over 9,000 Valley residents.

Peoria Police and Fire Departments will be hosting their 13th annual public safety event on Saturday evening, October 17th.  Check out their event information. We'll have a table set up at this event; hope to see you there!
